NATO anxiously expecting the meeting of Putin and Trump
Organizers of NATO summit to be held in Brussels on July 11-12 voice their concerns that upcoming Russian American negotiations in Helsinki might adversely affect European security, British The Sunday Telegraph reports. Sources from high officials participating in organization of the North Atlantic Alliance summit are concerned that the US president Donald Trump will start talks with Russian president Vladimir Putin “about reshaping the landscape of European security”, if the NATO member state leaders “refuse to meet Trump’s demands” about increasing expenses for defense sector in accordance with the Alliance regulations. The newspaper refers to military and diplomatic sources and claims that “Donald Trump might threaten with withdrawal of US troops from Ukraine and refusal of American participation in joint drills of NATO if United Kingdom and other European countries fall short to undertake obligations to increase defense expenses”.
Turkiston: Official Washington plans to use the policy of Russia based on aggression to achieve its aims regarding the European Union. Initially, the USA left the UN Human Rights Council. Then, it tried bring political pressure on EU by announcing plans to leave even NATO. On top of all of this is a statement about forthcoming meeting with Russian president, initiated by the United States. Administration of the White House is trying to achieve complete submission of the European Union by persuading it that the USA is the only force that can protect Europe from aggressive Russia. It is well known that NATO in essence is the US military block. There is also a dominating opinion that namely NATO prevents Russia’s conquer of Ukraine. Therefore, the United States tries to force the EU to undertake major part of expenses of maintaining NATO. However, the United States is highly concerned with official Moscow’s activities to approach Asian countries. Russia promised to open doors for economic investments for such industrially developed countries like China and Japan. In other words, Russia agreed to become economically dependent colony. Namely after that the USA put forward an initiative to return Russia to G-7. Now, Washington plans official visit with Moscow and intends to entrap it again in the same way that it made Russia its copartner in its crimes in Syria. The United States acts on the principle of “hold your friends close but your enemies closer”. As for the above concerns – it is new position of the European Union. It might change pursuant to the Russian American negotiations and further strategy of the United States.
