Protest demonstrations against Turkish military forces took place in Syria

Syrian people organized protest meetings in Kafr Zita and El Latamna populated areas which are under control of Turkish militaries. Banners demanding to end bombardments of the region by Russian forces were raised against Turkey at the meetings. Why namely against Turkey? Firstly, because Turkey took responsibility for security in the area. Secondly, Russia is a close ally of Turkey in creating de-escalation zones in Syria. Following the international meeting on Syria in Astana, four de-escalation zones were established in some regions of Syria. Guarantor states of the ceasefire regime in the zones are Iran, Russia, and Turkey. Consequently, any military operations in zones under control of any of the above three countries should have been stopped. However, due to Russia’s continuing of military actions in Idlib and suburbs, which are under responsibility of Turkish army, anti-Turkish protest reaction raised in the region. Recently, after bombardment of Idlib and villages of Hama by heavy artillery of Assad regime and Russian forces people died and significant damage was made to the region. However, people at the meetings also remembered help and support of Turkey to the Syrian people. There were also slogans and banners expressing love to the Turkish people.
