Heads of Uzbekistan’s and Kyrgyzstan’s border services had a meeting
The day before, Ularbek Sharsheev, head of Kyrgyz Republic State Border Service met with general major Ruslan Mirzaev, commander of border troops, State Border Service of Uzbek Republic, in Zarkent village of Namangan region, Uzbekistan, as KNEWS reports. The heads of border authorities discussed the current situation at the Kyrgyz Uzbek border. The parties agreed that the previous separate joint directives of Kyrgyzstan’s and Uzbekistan’s border authorities were being implemented not in full scale and require adjustments considering new level of Kyrgyz Uzbek relations. Then, border delegations of the two republics arrived at the incident site, Mamai village, Aksy district, Jalal Abad region of Kyrgyzstan, where with heads of public administrations and law enforcement officers of the border area they jointly inspected the site of the incident that took place on April 7. The Kyrgyz delegation placed emphasis on two incidents, where the Uzbek militaries engaged weapons, that took place at the Kyrgyz Uzbek border since the beginning of 2018. The parties agreed that use of weapon by border patrols is a last extreme measure, therefore, engaging weapons by soldiers is strictly prohibited in case of unintentional trespassing of state border in sight of a border patrol. A joint task group including border representatives of Kyrgyzstan’s Jalal Abad region and Uzbekistan’s Eastern direction, as well as heads of district administrations, law enforcement bodies, prosecutor’s office, and land registry departments of the border area was established to investigate the incident that took place in Mamai village on April 7. An extended meeting of border authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan is planned in the third decade of April 2018, where the issues of border cooperation will be discussed. Following the task meeting, the heads of border authorities signed a protocol obliging strict observance of Agreements on border issues, previously achieved resolutions and agreements of heads of the two countries’ border authorities. It is a reminder that on April 7, Uzbekistan’s military shot a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, resident of Kurulush village, Aksy district, F.M. 1984 born.
Turkiston: With every passing day we can clearly see the true face of false pseudo-revolutionary projects in Uzbekistan. A leading group from old elite of Karimov’s regime is purposely directing the pseudo-revolutionary maneuvers initiated by Mirziyoyev. The proof is the transfer of Rustam Inoyatov from the post of head of the National Security Service (SNB) to the senate with subsequent immunity. The president charged him with a task to fish farm in the republic. In 2017, another influential figure of Karimov’s regime, Rustam Azimov was tasked with poultry farming in the republic; the president demanded to farm 100 chickens for every citizen of the Uzbek Republic. All this means that the regime is making amends trying to rise in new appearance. Representatives of the Uzbek regime appropriated billions of dollars. Now, in order to gain confidence of the people, Mirziyoyev tries to preserve his position and stolen riches even if he spends some millions. It should be noted that he did not spend that much money for surprising reconstruction of Jizak Kyrgyz village for 45 days. However, expenses for Mirziyoyev’s changes are increasing. As has been said above, the purpose of the cosmetic changes is to keep the power by the group of Karimov’s regime. At the same time, they are trying to create artificial atmosphere of freedom in the country. Of course, this freedom is restricted with certain limits. The regime was transferred from under influence and pressure of the SNB into the government’s hands. These artificial freedoms are also required to calm down the international community. However, the West insists on continuation of reforms by returning pro-western opposition forces back to the country. Since these demands are extremely dangerous for Mirziyoyev’s regime, it will not fulfill them. Therefore, Mirziyoyev should propose the security problem to the foreground. In this respect, the role of Inoyatov is great as an experienced and influential person.
