Tensions are escalating in Palestine
Tension between Muslims and Jewish military is aggravating in protest against Israel’s blockade of Gaza Strip.
Dozens of unarmed protesters were killed by Jewish soldiers’ shots. Palestine’s Health Ministry reported that 16 Palestinians were killed and over one thousand injured. According to Palestinian Red Crescent, at least 200 people were shot by Jewish soldiers. Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman highly praised the operation of his soldiers. According to Liberman, the soldiers, who shot at unarmed people, must be rewarded. “Our soldier did the right thing. I believe that all our soldiers deserve medals”, said Liberman in his statement to the army radio. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a public appeal to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and accused them of terrorism. “Hey, Netanyahu! You are a terrorist state. What you do to the oppressed Palestinians will be part of history and we will never forget it. The Israeli people are uncomfortable with what you’re doing,” said Erdogan. Two days ago, speaking in Erzurum, Erdogan said, “We will protect rights of our Palestinian brothers and will continue to disclose Israel’s terror always and everywhere”.
As always, Erdogan shouts at the Jewish formation. But when will we see actual results of his words? It is still unknown. For example, the embassy of Jewish formation, as Erdogan named “a terrorist state”, is still functioning in Ankara. Can you imagine how can “a terrorist embassy” exist in Turkey and function freely in the heart of the country? Besides, according to Sedat Laciner expert group on international relations and Middle East, after the Justice and Development party of Erdogan came to power, military and trade relations between the Jewish organization and Turkey increased for several times. In 2002, when Erdogan came to power, total trade volume between Israel and Turkey amounted to 1,2 billion USD, and in 2013, it reached 5 billion USD. Moreover, military and trade relations between Turkey and the Jewish formation continue to gain pace now. Sometimes secret meetings of Turkey and Jewish formation leaked to the press. Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who had to confirm one of such meetings in front of reporters, said, “How can we continue relations without meeting?”
