Uzbek and Chechen families were arrested in Bashakshehir and Kiyashehir districts, Istanbul. According to mass media, 35 Uzbek and 40 Chechen families were arrested during a raid. According to Muhammet Kara, the same indifference was shown to 70-80 families, mainly Uzbek and Chechen families. Some families were forcedly sent to the deportation center despite they had temporary living permit. It came to a point that children from several immigrant families were taken away and given to orphanages. Immigrant families in Istanbul live in permanent expectation of such sufferings.
