Uzbekistan plans to purchase armored vehicles from Turkey, Sputnik reporter informs referring to the press office of the Ministry of Defense. Details of this agreement were discussed the previous day in Tashkent during negotiations with delegation of the Turkish Ministry of Defense headed by the Minister of Defense Nurettin Canikli. The Ministry representative said, “Uzbekistan intends to purchase EJDER 4×4 type light armored vehicles produced by Nurol company, Turkey. The Uzbek party has already tested it in July 2017 and was satisfied with the results. Now we are discussing purchase of ten military vehicles for needs of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense”. According to the representative, the Uzbek party is ready for further improvement of military and technical cooperation with Turkey. For this purpose, the issue of joint production or production of these vehicles in Uzbekistan with Turkish investments is being discussed. It should be noted that EJDER 4×4 armored vehicle has two crew members and can accommodate up to eight personnel. Various armament can be mounted on the vehicle.
