Current situation in Kyrgyzstan
Political skirmish between the Kyrgyz president Atambaev and Tekebaev, one of the opposition leaders, has reached its pinnacle.
The government took Tekebaev into custody, using its authorities in this conflict. The Ata Meken Party organized termless protest meeting in support of its leader and called all political forces to unite in the political fight with the government…
Neither Atambaev, nor Tekebaev, nor any other politician among Kyrgyz political elite can be considered as clean from corruption crimes. Any political fight between them is by no means related to protection of people’s interests. On the contrary, they fight for domination over Kyrgyzstan’s citizens, as well as for prevent disclosure of the crimes they committed once using their public or administrative status. Similarly, in this fight, both sides almost do not differ from each other in their concerns and activities.
Again, the situation in Kyrgyzstan is escalating and the society asks – what position should Muslims and Islamic organizations uphold regarding current events in Kyrgyzstan?
Without doubt, the present representatives of political elite are guilty for occurrence of this dangerous situation in the country. However, no matter what kind of new politicians come instead of the previous elite, they also become criminals as the former politicians. The politicians who expelled Bakiev, now themselves encroach on national wealth. Every time when the power shifts, new administration quickly get stick in corruption even more. Consequently, change of personalities in a government is not the solution of a problem. For, as long as the governance system is based on corrupt foundation, the situation will not change whichever skillful political force comes to power. We have evidenced it from Egypt when the Muslim Brotherhood Islamic society headed by Morsi came to power based on the Kufr system of governance. They could not change the situation in the country even being governed by Islamic principles of governance. Their mistake, as well as some our ulema’s, was intention to create a governance system based on a compromise solution, i.e. by adapting Islam to the Kufr.
Neither Islamic societies, nor Muslim personalities bear no relationship to this dirty war of Kyrgyz politicians. Since this is a fight for the power, based on the Kufr governance system and it is conducted by unfair and contrary to Sharia methods. As well as this fight has any relation neither to Islam nor to Muslims. It is forbidden (haram) for Muslims to struggle for the power that is based on the Kufr system or to give any support to those who struggle for this power. However, since the struggle for power is conducted here in our society and there is an imminent danger for our society, we are obliged to express our position regarding current events and to exert required influence on them. Although our struggle must be directed at protection of Muslims’ interests and Islamic climate, i.e. our political struggle must be based solely on the Islam ideology.
Whenever in our country relations between political forces are strain, they try to drag Islam and Muslim into their political battles. Each of two parties try to win over religious figures, i.e. they try to use them against each other. When their political struggle goes too far and there occurs a threat with consequences, dangerous for both parties, they start to artificially inflate the panic of Islamic threat and try to redirect the struggle against Islam and Muslims.
Therefore, we address to our Muslim brothers, ulema and religious figures speaking for the religion: Islam and Muslims bear no relation to the struggle for power that is conducted by the Kufr methods. It is prohibited to take part in this struggle neither on behalf of any Islamic organization nor as an individual. This is the start of the presidential pre-election campaign of 2017. It is absolutely forbidden for Muslims (haram) to take part in this democratic election by supporting any party and helping them in their dirty war. Using mouths of such sycophants as Baisalov, they cynically claim, “we have a secularist system and any manifestation of Islam must be forced out of the society”.
Allah the Almighty says:
وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمْ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ
“Do not be inclined to those who are unjust, lest you be seized by the fire; and you will not have any protector besides Allah, nor you shall be helped (if you follow those who are unjust)”. (11:113)
The government that rashly arrested Tekebaev, once also put in prison Rashod kori Kamalov and thousands of other Muslims for nothing and stepping over the bounds. They will certainly put pressure on our religious figures in this pre-election period. We call for endurance and patience and remind these words of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him):
“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said, “Hardships continue to befall a believing man and woman in their body, family, and property, until they meet Allah the Almighty (on Judgment Day) burdened with no sins.” Tirmithee narrated from Abu Hurayrah.
